Background

The Shire of Cue recently completed  their new ‘Travellers Oasis’ tourist rest stop. The rest stop features shaded rest areas, an RV dump station and a Visitor Information Bay (VIB).

Solution

The Shire commissioned Wayfound to plan and design the layout of the signage and information at the VIB and then to coordinate production, delivery and installation of the VIB panels. The VIB information includes maps of the area and information on what there is to see and do, where to eat, where to stay, where to get more information/help, etc.

Because suitable tourist information maps did not exist, Wayfound also produced all of the map data and final maps for the Shire, the townsite, and for services and attractions.

Deliverable

A fully functional Visitor Information Bay. The Shire of Cue has received great feedback from travellers on the quality of the information provided.
