After completion of the audit Wayfound commenced work developing the Ride High Country Regional Cycling Signage Strategy (the Strategy). We broke the project down into each discipline – Mountain Biking (MTB), Rail Trails, Road Riding and emerging cycling activities. We analysed each one for its strengths, weaknesses and made recommendations for improvement.

This strategy was produced in draft form and presented to Tourism North East (TNE) and stakeholders for comment and feedback.
On acceptance of the draft strategy Wayfound commenced work on developing the Ride High Country Signage Style Guide. The purpose of the style guide is to develop a unified approach to cycle related signage that can be applied across the whole TNE region and provide a road map for future signage installation as new cycling products such as new rail trails, gravel bike riding and bike packing are developed.

The Ride High Country Signage Strategy and Signage Style Guide has now been accepted and endorsed by TNE and its stakeholders.
