Last week Kim attended the National Tourism Signing Reference Group’s (NTSRG) bi annual symposium in Rockhampton, Queensland. The NTSRG is comprised of tourism and road signage officers from each of the states and territories.
The members get together to share ideas on policies, practices and design related to tourism signage. The objective of the group is to develop a consistent approach to tourism signage across Australia.
Kim had the opportunity to present to the group on the various projects Wayfound has worked on and particularly the tourism signage audit we recently completed for the Northern Territory Department of Transport. The symposium was over two days with the second day a field trip organised by the Queensland representatives to tour some newly completed tourism projects in the Rockhampton area.
The symposium was very interesting and Kim came away with a lot more knowledge from these tourism and road signage experts. This can all be applied to Wayfound’s future projects.
