The QE2 Medical Centre Trust is responsible for the development, control and management of the Queen Elezabeth II Medical Centre land. The 28-hectare QEII Medical Centre (QEIIMC) is the largest medical centre in the southern hemisphere and globally recognised in health care, research and education. Situated 4km from the Perth CBD the QEIIMC has grown over 45 years to include over 40 health related organisations. The QEIIMC accommodates; not-for-profit, public and private organisations and is dedicated to facilitating the highest quality of health care, educating future generations of health workers and conducting related scientific research.

A part of the trusts responsibilities is to develop and enhance the outdoor facilities within the medical centre gardens including landscaped gardens and rest areas within the medical centre grounds. QE2 Trust wished to develop an interpretive signage family to improve cultural identity, user experience and heritage awareness on the QEIIMC.
The QEII Medical Centre already has an internal and external wayfinding system in place and it is of particular importance that the new interpretive signage complements rather than competes with this established system and support the QEIIMC visual identity colour palette.

Wayfound worked with the QE2 Medical Centre Trust to develop a suite of interpretive sign that that can be rolled out as various interpretive projects are commissioned. The signage suite has been set up to work in a range of sizes and orientations to be adaptable to suit varied requirements around the campus. In the style guide each sign has been fully specced for content layout and fabrication.
