Recently we worked with the City of Cockburn developing a signage strategy for the rehabilitation of the Roe 8 Highway extension. This controversial project was cancelled  by the current state government with the highway corridor being rehabilitated and becoming a bushland park. The park takes in a changing landscape from Tuart bushland of the Stock Road escarpment down to the wetlands north of Bibra Lake. Due to budgetary constraints the park corridor will be developed over a 10 year period so it was important to develope an overall signage strategy that could be adopted and rolled out as each stage was developed.

This project entailed us visiting and walking the corridor with City of Cockburn Project Officer, meeting with key project exponents and conducting an online community survey to garner input from local residents. We then formulating a signage system that was both durable and fitted with the bushland environment. This signage system has now been endorsed by the community advisory group and adopted by the City of Cockburn. It is expected that the first section will be rolled out in 2021.
