Local government boundary entry signs mark the transition into a specific municipality, helping residents and visitors identify administrative boundaries. They support navigation, reinforce community identity, and assist local governments with responsibilities such as resource allocation and emergency response.

Wayfound was engaged by Tourism WA to develop concept designs for entry statements and a welcome sign for the City of Geraldton. The project involved a site visit to assess suitable locations for the entry statements along the main approach roads into Geraldton, as well as a proposed site for the welcome sign on the Geraldton foreshore. Meetings were also held with staff from the City of Greater Geraldton to inform the design process.

Following the site visit, Wayfound collaborated with both Tourism WA and the City of Greater Geraldton to prepare concept designs for the two signage types. The project is currently on hold and will move into the fabrication stage once the City is ready to proceed.
